Minari is a film that feels both big and small. Written and directed by Lee Isaac Chung, it follows an immigrant Korean family in their efforts to put down roots and grow a new life in 1980’s Arkansas. Minari was an awards contender in 2021, so we created content focused around performances, direction, and writing, but also pieces that captured the feeling, meaning, and intent of the film, as well as the films adorable Alan Kim. For inspiration, I looked towards vintage Farmer’s Almanacs and middle-America ephemera, as well as photographs, scrapbooks from my own childhood home.
